In what may be a sign of things to come, singer Katy Perry has used her Twitter account to send a strong message to her husband Russell Brand, and the world, that the two are really over and out. How?
She 'unfollowed' him.
The U.S. celebrity news and gossip magazine,
Us Weekly, cited a 'source' in telling them that Perry, 27, is not pleased with the manner in which her 36-year-old destined to be ex-husband is acting. "He's being so atrocious that she feels like she never really knew him," the mag quoted their source as saying. "She doesn't want to look battered and have people for sorry for her. She's very strong and confident."
Russell Brand still Follows Katy Perry
Perry and Brand broke up officially, or at least the media got wind of it, in late
December, ending a marriage that lasted but 14 months. There has been conflicting reports about why they split, with the most
consistent being the notion that Perry was spending too much time away being a rock star, while Brand reportedly wants to settle down.
Despite Perry unfollowing Brand, he has not unfollowed her
; however, neither has he communicated with Perry by Twitter since Jan. 5. His would seem an older way of breaking up - simply ignoring the other.
