Rapper Snoop Dogg was arrested at a Texas checkpoint over the weekend after agents found a small amount of marijuana. The rapper ended up being arrested.
Snoop Dogg’s tour bus was stopped at a Texas checkpoint and that’s when border control agents found pot on the rapper’s tour bus.
According to
ABC, the 40-year-old producer and rapper was stopped on Saturday. The checkpoint is the same spot where Willie Nelson was arrested in 2010. Nelson was arrested for possession of marijuana too.
According to
CBS, Snoop Dogg ended up being arrested and given a citation. Dogg was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia, which is a misdemeanor that is typical in cases that involve small amounts of pot. The arrest took place at the Sierra Blanca highway checkpoint.
According to the
Chicago Tribune, Bills Brooks, a Customs and Border Protection spokesman, said that agents did a routine inspection of the tour bus, and that’s when they thought they could smell pot.
Brooks did not say how much pot was found. Snoop Dogg was booked and released. The rapper will have to go to court on January 20.
