Cityville, one of Zynga's most popular titles, can now be played on the Google+ social network, according to an official Zynga blog post.
"It's no secret we're big fans of Google+ here at Zynga," Zynga officials said
in the blog post. "CityVille grew to become our largest game on Facebook, so naturally we wanted to “build” a presence for it on Google+," the message continues.
CityVille isn't the first Zynga game to be launched on Google+. The other, Zynga Poker, was added during the initial launch of gaming zone on Google+, along with 11 other games.
Currently, CityVille has over 72 million monthly active users,
according to figures available online on Monday from market tracker
AppData. The highest number of users ever reached was around 100 million monthly users.
Google+ games' lead product manager,
Punit Soni wrote on his Google+ profile,
Welcome Zynga’s CityVille to Google+ games! If you’ve played CityVille before, you know how much fun it is to build your own virtual city, and then work with friends to help it grow. On Google+ you can use your circles to share updates with the people you want to and keep news of your civic accomplishments limited to just the right audience.
In Zynga's words, the main objective of Zynga is to make CityVille "accessible to everyone, everywhere – no matter where they play or what platform they play on."
