Brighton - A woman, 80, has been given an Anti-social Behaviour Order (ASBO) after inflicting her neighbours with anti-Semitic, homophobic and racial abuse.
According to the BBC Edna Beck of Hove UK had been overheard shouting “Sieg Heil” performed a Nazi salute at her neighbour and goose-stepped behind a visitor.
Mike Tyler prosecuting for Brighton and Hove City Council told Brighton Magistrates Court that Miss Beck called local children "Hitler’s children", threw broken glass, empty alcohol bottles and soiled underwear out of a window.
The court also heard that Beck deliberately set off fire alarms.
The Sussex Express reported that Beck subjected her neighbours to intolerable anti-social abuse which lasted for seven years, ranting at Polish residents and a gay couple who lived in her building.
There were also reports of Miss Beck being drunk and disorderly in communal areas of the buildings.
The 80-year-old Beck, who is thought to be partially deaf, was not considered to be mentally ill and considered her actions to be a joke.
She was handed an interim ASBO by Magistrates on Wednesday.
