Obama rushes to family home, guest injured while surfing

It's being reported that President Obama has left a golf game abruptly and headed back to the family compound. A family friend was injured while surfing.

The president left the golf game for "personal reasons." An ambulance has also been reported to have raced to the first family's compound. The Obama's are staying in Hawaii for the holidays on Kailua Beach. The president grew up on Hawaii. The LA Times reports that the president is not hurt nor is there a threat to the national security. There are reports that a family friend may have been injured. Update-A friend of the president's was injured in the ocean. It is not known at this time how serious the injury was. Update-The son of Dr. Eric Whitaker, a family friend of the Obamas, was injured while surfing, his injuries requiring stitches.
