Investigators in the missing Madeleine McCann case have refused to reveal details of what was said, although it is claimed that when the witness approached her, she asked him if he was the courier with a child.
Further to our earlier report on developments in the missing Madeleine McCann case, it has been reported on ABC Radio and news media this morning that the woman in question asked the witness:
"Have you got her? Have you got the child?''
Apparently the woman currently being sought by investigators mistook the British man who has come forward as a witness for a courier she was expecting to meet.
Investigators want to speak to the woman who is believed to be possibly an Australian or New Zealander and is also able to speak Spanish.
