Former Tennessee Titans quarterback Steve McNair, 36, was shot and killed at a Nashville apartment complex Saturday. It is speculated that McNair was a victim of a murder-suicide.
Tennessee Titans quarterback Steve McNair has been killed in what appears to be a double homicide in downtown Nashville. McNair and a female victim were found by police.
McNair retired from football after 13 seasons in the NFL last year. He was the third overall pick for the Houston Oilers in the 1995 NFL Draft.
McNair played with the Titans for 11 seasons, leading the team to their Super Bowl attempts in 1999. He played his last two seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.
nwas born on February 17, 1973 in Mississippi.
His son Steve Jr. plays football at his local high school. He will graduate next year.
update: Steve McNair had been dating Sahel Kazemi, 20, just for a few weeks. The two were found dead in a Nashville apartment on Saturday in what is now appearing to be a murder-suicide.
McNair was found with several bullet wounds on a sofa at the Second Avenue condo that was in his name. A single bullet to the head killed Kazemi. The murder weapon was found near her body.
The Nashville police have not yet ruled out other scenarios but admit they are not looking for any suspects at the moment.
McNair was married to Mechelle McNair.
