In a week of famous deaths, the famous TV salesman Billy Mays has been found dead in his Orlando home this morning by his wife Deborah Mays.
The famous Oxiclean product infomercial salesman king, Billy Mays, has died. His loud presence on the television made him a known figure, and of course his great products with his Oxiclean brands.
Mr. Mays was found dead in his home in Orlando, Florida, by his wife Deborah Mays. He was found unresponsive at 7:45am and according to the Associated Press, “there were no indications that the house had been broken into, and that police did not suspect foul play.”
Prior to his death, the day before he was aboard a US Airways flight and during the flight the tires blew out and made a landing at a Tampa airport. None of the passengers and crew were hurt however; some passengers reported that they had several bruises and bumps. At this time, no one knows if that situation was related to Mr. Mays’ death.
His wife Deborah Mays made a statement a few hours ago, “Although Billy lived a public life, and we don't anticipate making any public statements over the next couple of days. Our family asks that you respect our privacy during these difficult times.”
In April, Mr. Mays launched a reality series called Pitchmen on the Discovery Channel to show viewers new gadgets such as: Impact Gel shoe insert, the Tool Band-it and many other devices.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday morning. Billy Mays was 50.
