A victim lost his BMW, cellphone and cash to an armed man. The victim, after filing a police report, sent text messages to his phone and lured the robbers to the police.
Alan Heuss was sitting in his BMW car in Columbus on Wednesday, when an armed man put a gun on his face and asked him to get out of the car.
After Heuss got out, the man drove away his prized car, also stealing his cellphone and cash in the car.
Heuss filed a police report and went to one of his friend's house. One of his friends suggested to him to send a text message to his phone in the car to lure the suspects in.
His friend told
Heuss:
'I'm going to text these guys, I'm going to blow some smoke their way...'I'm going to tell them I've got a bunch of hot chicks, as if I'm texting you, and that we've got some drugs, too.'
The suspects fell for this trap; they brought Heuss car along as well to the meeting place to meet the girls.
But instead of hot girls, the police were waiting for them and arrested them for the carjacking offense.
