A story that has brought forth worldwide sadness over the severe abuse and neglect of a German Shepherd that led to his death is now seeing some justice. Two people have been arrested and charged in the case and face a maximum sentence of 1 year each.
Two people in Corpus Christi, TX have been charged with animal abuse in the story of Shepp, a German Shepherd that was left to die at an abandoned home. Daniel Luna, 44, and Norma Luna, 45, have been arrested and charged with animal cruelty.

In a local report that explains the limited details of the arrest, the two people who are alleged to have been responsible for the horrific conditions that led to Shepp's death are being held behind bars on $500 US bond each.

This crime is considered a misdemeanor and punishable by up to one year in prison.

People from around the globe have rallied against those who were responsible for the extreme abuse and neglect that left Shepp with his bone exposed and unable to move. Shepp died just three days after he was rescued from the abandoned home.

Help Shepp get justice and sign the petition.
