Sarah Palin has danced around the idea of being forthcoming concerning the "troopergate" investigation. This could make her image become tarnished beyond repair for the undecided voters that don't know her.
Sarah Palin must be an open book as she says. She should make this notion believable when it comes to her executive position as governor.

Now, there is a move to sue and stop anyone from finding out the truth. It puts a question on everyone's mind about why Palin would block an investigation if there is nothing to hide. In order for Palin to keep the clean image she needs to help McCain win, she will have to give a better reason than some of the people are Obama supporters.

It has become apparent that the team is mostly made up of Republicans and one is from her hometown according to CNN and other news sources. Therefore, her argument is becoming weak. Now, she must quickly make the issue go away, but the truth is what everyone seems to want. Due to the lack of public knowledge of Sarah Palin, it is imperative that she is vetted by the media and this trooper issue is resolved.

The problem that seems to be coming to light is Palin copying her husband on emails concerning State business. This could be an issue to people that feel there is too much family interference in matters not appropriate. In addition, it could indicate a lack of leadership and integrity.

The three reasons why Sarah Palin must cooperate with the investigate are: (1) maintain independent voters support, (2) walk the talk concerning transparency, and (3) reassure voters that she is not a power abuser.

Sarah Palin says she will shake up Washington, but she must remember that people want a corruption free result when it comes to her actions. I am sure that she shook up Alaska with firing the lead police officer. However, it is not clear if she took the proper measures to do so. If it comes out that she did it because pressure tactics failed, it makes her look similar to the Bush Administration that people from both views despise. Independent voters are looking to Palin to indicate that she is ready to tango with the big leagues, and here is her opportunity.

It seems that more and more we all hear that she walks the talk concerning her baby, but we need to see how she does politically. The bridge to nowhere issue does not help, but maybe there is some hope for this investigation to enable people to not look at her as someone to be suspiciously cautious about. Perhaps, it will be clear where she truly stands, and we can all get behind her, if we like the result.

The power abuse is what concerns me the most because we have an administration currently fighting that tag in the White House. It truly means something serious, if we elect a person that has abused power for personal satisfaction. It does not show the selfless service we need now. I am sure that many think that this trooper is not the best guy, but to stop following regulations and a court order is a bit much.

Palin had been warned already concerning the trooper's job, and if she ignored the judge, it could mean she is insubordinate to authority.

Therefore, McCain could have his hands full, and he may not even know until it is too late. Perhaps, this will not be an issue, but it is one to ponder.

In conclusion, Sarah Palin is a mother, governor, and the first woman VP nominee of her party. She has a tough road ahead with the investigation whether she cooperates or not. My advice is to go with it, and let the truth be what it is.

Some will have opinions already made, but the more we learn about her, I think the better informed the American people will be. So, there should not be any statements years later, "we didn't know she was going to be this way."

Hopefully, this statement reminds everyone about President George W. Bush. Many people claimed ignorant to his positions, yet they seemed to be comfortable having a beer with him. Whatever the political affiliation, we need direction and it must be transparent because corruption will surely lead to disaster.
