Just before the Palestinian attacker slammed a bulldozer into the car, the mother threw her 5-month-old baby to safety. The mother and two others were killed in the rampage.
A Palestinian from east Jerusalem went on a rampage Wednesday with his construction vehicle and slammed into buses, cars and pedestrians randomly. The story was covered in Digital Journal by Mr. Garibaldi.
Moments before her death, Batsheva Unterman, 33, saved her baby by throwing the child to safety. Batsheva died of injuries at the local hospital. The baby escaped unhurt.
It took police several hours to locate the baby’s family and they later ound her father, who was not aware that his wife and baby were caught in this rampage.
According to the police, the baby’s great grandfather was Israel’s chief rabbi from 1967 to 1973.
