A Vermont woman was not seriously injured when a soda-bottle bomb exploded inside her car while she was on her way home from work. A second unexploded bomb was also found inside the vehicle.
Bellows Falls police are currently investigating a soda-bottle bomb that exploded on May 13th in a woman's car as she was on her way home from work.
The soda-bottle bomb, also known as a works bomb, had been placed in the woman's car, and exploded while she was driving home, not far from her place of employment. The woman was sprayed with liquid and metal fragments as the result of the explosion, but was not seriously injured, and called police after she had arrived home. A second, unexploded bomb was also found in the woman's car and the Vermont State Police were called in to disarm it. It was not reported as to the contents of the bombs found inside her car.

A quick search of
Youtube for soda-bottle bombs and works bombs revealed a lengthy video list of several different versions of the explosive devices as they were being constructed and then activated. The construction of these small devices utilizes readily available items such as Mentos candy and diet coke, baking soda and vinegar, and toilet bowl cleaner and aluminum foil.
