Recently the talent show, on British TV, Britain's Got Talent, has been in DJ news, and we have been introduced to two beautiful singers. Unfortunately there is sometimes, a bad element everywhere, and this show is no exception.
It has been brought to the attention of the popular television show, Britain's Got Talent, that a sex offender was taking part as an impressionist, in the variety talent show.
Lancashire police notified producers of the show that, Brian Bates, 27 of Blackpool, was a registered sex offender, and there were concerns that his performance might be seen by the victim, or the victims family, which could lead to consequences. He was placed on the sex offenders register, and given a two year conditional discharge, when sentenced at Preston Crown Court in December 2005. No further details have been given. Bates will be removed from the list next month.
The impressionist agreed with producers to step down from the competition.
The show is a great success for ITV, with audiences rising, during it's week long run. On Friday an average of 8.9 million people watched the programme. The final will be held on Sunday.
