Google may make a Major announcement involving Google Docs and Spreadsheets and Google Apps for Your Domain or may announce new products and features.
Techcrunch Editor, Michael Arrington says: We have a well placed but single source rumor that Google may make a major announcement tomorrow, possibly a statement of its “official” strategy around their small business focused products.
Arrington believes it may involve bundling Docs & Spreadsheets along with Google Apps for Your Domain. Docs andGooglesheets are like Word and Excel type documents, while Google Apps for Your Domain offers for any site to have the private-labeled email, instant messaging and calendar accounts to all of its users, so they can share ideas and work more effectively. Combining both will be a great idea for small businesses. Besides this, Google might announce an online PowerPoint application that combine with Docs & Spreadsheets.
Earlier today the product manager for Google Docs & Spreadsheets, Jonathan Rochelle, spoke at the Future of Web Apps conference in London. He made absolutely no mention of any possible announcement. As I said, this is a single source rumor and single source rumors have a tendency to fail to materialize.
So expect a major announcement from Google, which is good news, besides introducing new products now and then, Google adds new features every day. Well done Google.
