This was the 2,580th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. At the ceremony, actress Kristen Stewart made the opening remarks. Stewart was her co-star in the film Panic Room.
The talented actress noted in her gracious acceptance speech that she grew up several blocks from Hollywood Boulevard and she would come across the Walk of Fame stars on a regular basis, as she would inquire if she would ever be on that Walk of Fame herself someday. It is safe to say that her wish has been granted.
A Los Angeles, California, native, Foster is promoting her forthcoming film, Money Monster, which she directed, as her fourth directorial effort. It stars Oscar winners George Clooney and Julia Roberts, and it opens in theaters on May 13.
Throughout her illustrious career in acting, Foster has won two Academy Awards for “Best Actress in a Leading Role” for her performances in The Accused and The Silence of the Lambs. She was also nominated two additional times for Oscars for Nell and for Taxi Driver.
In 2013, Foster claimed the coveted Cecil B. DeMille Golden Globe Award, which was given out by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
